US court sends BP asset sale dispute back to arbitration

A Texas court has compelled an ICDR sole arbitrator to hear an oil and gas consultancy’s claim relating to a counterparty’s purchase of US$775 million in assets from BP in Pakistan – setting aside two previous awards that found the claim had been waived.
