Swedish court sets aside final award won by Spanish investors in Yukos

As the appeal of the set aside of the Yukos awards gets under way in The Hague, GAR has learned of a recent Swedish court decision setting aside an award that found Russia liable for the oil company’s expropriation and ordered the payment of compensation to Spanish minority shareholders – in line with a previous decision that the tribunal chaired by Jan Paulsson lacked jurisdiction.
