NEW ENTRY
This Istanbul firm is led by name partner Ercüment Erdem, who also leads its dispute resolution practice.
The firm is active in cases both in Turkey and abroad. It is currently involved, for instance, in an ICC asset purchase dispute seated in Latin America between a Colombian energy client – the subsidiary of a Turkish conglomerate – and a partner in the mining sector. It is also acting against an international company in a Zurich-seated Swiss rules arbitration for a Turkish distribution company over an international share purchase agreement.
Closer to home, the firm appears regularly in cases at Turkish institutions, including the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Izmir Chamber of Commerce and the Union of Chambers and Commodities Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). It has recently settled two cases for Turkish Super League clubs, including one for local team Galatasary at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
As well as Ercüment Erdem, the practice includes the firm’s managing partner Piraye Erdem, and partners Süleyman Sevinç and Ali Sami Er. It recently welcomed back associate Fatih Is¸ik after his completion of military service.
