The English Commercial Court has upheld an ICC award worth US$536 million in favour of Norwegian state oil company Statoil against Algeria's Sonatrach. In a decision yesterday, Mr Justice Flaux dismissed an application by Sonatrach to set aside the award, holding that the Algerian state oil company merely sought to challenge the arbitrators' findings of fact.
