Kyrgyzstan has applied to a London court to set aside an UNCITRAL tribunal’s jurisdictional award in favour of Canadian mining company Stans Energy.

A tribunal has dismissed Kyrgyzstan’s jurisdictional objections to an UNCITRAL claim filed by Canada’s Stans Energy – the mining company’s second attempt to secure damages from the state after a US$118 million award in its favour was set aside.
