Peru tribunal warns parties against aggravating dispute

A tribunal hearing a US$1.8 billion investment treaty claim brought by a US hedge fund against Peru has ordered both sides to refrain from actions which could aggravate the dispute – after the state accused the claimant of communicating directly with government officials and hiring lobbyists, academics and PR companies to bolster its claim.
