Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick

Founded in 1965, Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick is a one of the largest independent law firms in Belgium recognised for its innovative thinking and legal expertise. Our clients include international and domestic businesses, from start-ups and private companies to major listed companies and multinational corporations, as well as financial institutions, governmental bodies and intergovernmental institutions. Liedekerke is a full-service firm, providing contentious and non-contentious advice in every key business practice area. Across the firm, we have also dedicated sector teams, which comprise lawyers from a range of our main practice areas. A large proportion of Liedekerke’s work has an international element. Many of our clients are based in other European countries, in Africa, the US, China, India, Russia or other CIS states, the Middle-East or Latin-America. Liedekerke also regularly assists Belgian companies investing in and setting up operations in these countries. For example, our dedicated Africa desk serves Belgian and foreign clients in countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, the Ivory Coast, Tanzania and South Africa. Our London office opened in 2007 as a direct response to the growth in cross-border transactions and complex international matters. Liedekerke has chosen to remain an independent firm with strong ties to carefully selected partners. Our relationships with other law firms are privileged, but non-exclusive. We are the only Belgian member of a number of international networks, most notably the Lex Mundi global network.
