Kazakhstan award confirmed in US after fraud defence excluded

A US court has enforced a US$520 million Energy Charter Treaty award in favour of Moldovan investors Anatolie and Gabriel Stati against Kazakhstan, after refusing for a second time to allow the state to introduce allegations of fraud as a defence.
