Funding of Crimea claim caught by freezing order

An English court has ruled that a Ukrainian oligarch subject to a US$2.6 billion worldwide freezing order must seek approval to pay legal fees incurred by one of his companies in a bilateral investment treaty claim against Russia over an expropriated airport terminal in Crimea.
