Huawei threatens Sweden over 5G ban

Chinese telecoms giant Huawei has threatened Sweden with a treaty claim over its exclusion from the rollout of 5G network technology in the country, amid concerns its equipment will be used for spying.

NAFTA panel says GDPR doesn’t apply

A tribunal at the Permanent Court of Arbitration has ruled that the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation doesn’t apply to investor-state arbitrations under the North American Free Trade Agreement – even when one of the arbitrators is based in the UK.
