Nehring e Associados - Advocacia

05 March 2012

This São Paulo-based firm is home to one of the elder statesmen of Brazil’s commercial arbitration bar, Carlos Nehring Netto.

Who's Who name:
Carlos Nehring Netto

Described by Latin Lawyer a few years ago as “an elegant man with a brilliant mind and excellent judgement”, Nehring set up the firm in 1967 and continues to work in a variety of capacities: counsel, arbitrator and expert witness. He’s also a council member of ICCA. The firm has three other partners, some of whom also cover trade, investment and privatisation issues. Nehring has a long history with the ICC – he is a past court member of the ICC Court – and has spent time every year working in Paris since 1976. Nehring co-organised the 20th ICCA Congress in Rio de Janeiro in May 2010 – a “dream come true”, he told GAR.
