GAR 100 - 4th Edition

Hausmaninger Kletter

18 February 2011

Founded in 1997, Hausmaninger Kletter began as a breakaway from Schönherr – the two lawyers who lent their names to the new venture having worked there previously.

Who’s Who Name:
Christian Hausmaninger

The older partners share the fact that, at some point, they’ve all worked outside Austria for US firms – including WilmerHale, Sullivan & Cromwell and Rogers & Wells. The firm arrived in the GAR 100 last year, courtesy of recommendations from those who’ve used it as local co-counsel in Austria. A number of books pick it as a top boutique for general corporate matters that is developing a flexible disputes practice. One source described Christian Hausmaninger as a delightful lawyer to work with – approachable, yet tough when required. Two other lawyers are listed as doing commercial arbitration work (Robert Leitner and Michael Herzer), supported by two associates.
