Kim & Chang

18 February 2011

This leading Korean firm has had some impressive wins recently in international arbitrations. In 2008, it successfully represented Korean conglomerate Hanwha in an ICC claim worth a projected US$3 billion. The other side, a Korean government agency, had instructed Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Kim & Chang followed this as co-counsel with Shearman & Sterling in a dispute over shares in an oil refinery. The pair represented a Middle-Eastern investment fund - IPIC.
