Dorda Brugger Jordis

18 February 2011

Dorda Brugger Jordis enjoys a strong position in the Austrian market for commercial dispute resolution – ranking organisations give it as one of the three leading firms, and one European guide recently dubbed it law firm of the year.

Who’s Who Name:
Christian Dorda and Florian Kremslehner

By extension, it’s regarded as pretty good in arbitration. Three lawyers in particular are singled out: among them, Christian Dorda is an alternate member of the ICC court (for Austria) and sits as an arbitrator; Florian Kremslehner, head of the litigation and arbitration practice, divides his time between a number of areas of specialty, including arbitration; but perhaps the most focused on pure arbitration work, to judge from various accounts, is Christoph Stippl, a junior partner. He wrote his doctoral thesis on multiparty arbitration. Stippl combines an arbitration practice with work in M&A. The firm has a strong following among banks and energy companies. It maintains its role as one of the organisers of and contributors to the Vienna Arbitration Days.
