Barrick settles dispute with Chilean farmers
Canadian miner Barrick Gold has agreed to pay US$20 million to settle an arbitration with a Chilean farmers’ cooperative relating to a controversial mining project straddling the Chile-Argentina border that was suspended four years ago because of environmental concerns.
