Zhang Shouzhi is a senior partner in the dispute resolution practice group at King & Wood Mallesons, specialising in arbitration, litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He has extensive experience in cross-border trade and investment, banking and finance, infrastructure, intellectual property, product liability, and recognition and enforcement of foreign and Hong Kong arbitral awards in China.
Mr Zhang has been part of hundreds of international arbitration cases under various rules, and has represented clients in numerous instances of commercial and civil litigation. Many of his clients are Fortune 100 companies, including internationally recognised banks and multinational companies.
Mr Zhang has been repeatedly recognised in Chambers Asia-Pacific as a Band 1 lawyer in China in the areas of dispute resolution and international arbitration since 2009, and has ranked as an Eminent Practitioner in dispute resolution (for litigation and international arbitration practices) in Chambers Asia-Pacific for nine consecutive years (2015–2023). In The Legal 500: Asia Pacific (2018 edition), he was recommended in the field of dispute resolution. He was selected as a 2015 individual of the year (dispute resolution – litigation) by China Law & Practice and as ‘A-List Elite’ for 2018 by China Business Law Journal.
