Zhang Shouzhi is a senior partner in the dispute resolution practice group of King & Wood Mallesons, specialising in arbitration, litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He has extensive experience in cross-border trade and investment, banking and finance, infrastructure, intellectual property, product liability and recognition and enforcement of foreign and Hong Kong arbitral awards in China.
Mr Zhang has been part of hundreds of international arbitration cases under various rules, including those of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the Beijing Arbitration Commission, the International Chamber of Commerce, the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Federation of Fats and Oilseeds Associations, and the Grain and Feed Trade Association. He has also represented clients in numerous commercial and civil litigations. Many of his clients are Fortune 100 companies, including world-known banks and multinational companies.
Mr Zhang has been repeatedly recognised by Chambers Asia- Pacific as a Band 1 lawyer in China in the areas of dispute resolution and international arbitration since 2009 and has been ranked as an ‘Eminent Practitioner’ in dispute resolution (for litigation and international arbitration practices) by Chambers Asia-Pacific from 2015 to 2021. He has been recommended in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific in the field of dispute resolution. He was selected as the 2015 ‘Lawyer of the Year: Dispute Resolution-Litigation’ by China Law & Practice and in the 2018 ‘A-List Elite’ for China practice by China Business Law Journal.
