Tim is a partner in Gilbert + Tobin’s disputes and investigations group. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in Western Australia in 2001 and has been recognised as a leading dispute resolution lawyer by Chambers and Partners, Doyle’s Guide and The Legal 500. Tim is recognised by AFR Australia’s Best Lawyers 2020 for mining law, and insolvency and reorganisation law.Tim specialises in corporate, commercial and resources litigation and arbitration, particularly for mining and petroleum companies. Tim appears regularly in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Federal Court of Australia, and also practises in the Mining Warden’s Court. He provides advice on all aspects of corporate, commercial and resources and energy law. Since 2010, he has been a tutor at the AMPLA Mining Law Workshop at the University of Western Australia.Tim has a bachelor of laws and a bachelor of arts (industrial relations) from the University of Western Australia.
