Dr Thomas Legler, FCIArb is a partner and head of arbitration in Geneva. His practice focuses on representing clients in national and international arbitration and acting as arbitrator. He also advises clients in the fields of intellectual property (trademarks, patents and copyright), IT and data protection. Swiss parliament elected him as one of the part-time judges of the Federal Patent Court.
Thomas specialises in general contract and corporate law (including distributorship and licensing, pharmaceuticals and the watch industry); international and domestic arbitration; litigation in civil law; IP law (patents, trademarks and copyright); telecommunications, computer and internet law; media and privacy law; and construction law.
Thomas is the author of several publications, in particular in the field of arbitration, IP and ICT issues, and he is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.
