Tânia Cascais is a senior associate and works with the arbitration & litigation practice group of Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados. Tânia is a graduate of the Lisbon University Law School (1999), was admitted to the Bar Association in 2001 and joined the firm in the same year. Tânia has postgraduate degrees in International Contracts (2001) from the Lisbon University Law School.Her practice focuses on arbitration disputes involving corporate and commercial law, oil & gas and mineral resources. She has been involved in many international commercial and investment arbitrations as counsel, and in a supporting role to arbitrators conducting arbitration proceedings in several different jurisdictions (eg Angola, Brazil, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Spain). Tânia actively collaborates with the Portuguese Arbitration Association and has published several articles on arbitration, both in local and international papers and magazines. Tânia also participates as an assistant professor in the training of arbitration practitioners organised by the Universidade Nova de Lisboa Law School.
