Tan Sri Dato’ Cecil W M Abraham is a senior partner at Cecil Abraham & Partners. He obtained his LLB Hons from Queen Mary University of London in 1968 and is a barrister at law of the Middle Temple. He was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 1970. He is a chartered arbitrator, and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators, the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration Limited. He is also a fellow of Queen Mary University of London.
He has an extensive arbitration practice, and appears as counsel in both domestic and international arbitration. He has arbitrated under UNCITRAL, ICC, SIAC, AIAC and LCIA rules since the 1990s, and has sat as chair, sole arbitrator and co-arbitrator in international commercial arbitration in Asia and Europe.
