Simon focuses on international arbitration, particularly in investment, banking and construction & projects areas. As a Fellow Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), he has handled major international and domestic arbitrations dealing with both local and foreign laws. He is qualified to act as arbitrator or as counsel.

He was recently appointed by the government of Republic of Indonesia as the team that is tasked to assess the government's investment. As part of the investment team, he is responsible to determine the legal policy and risks involved in the allocation of the administration’s budget.

His clients include government of Republic of Indonesia, state-owned enterprise and multinational companies. He appears before arbitral proceedings under various rules, including UNCITRAL Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI). He also acted as counsel before various judicial levels in Indonesia. In the litigation arena, Simon regularly works on both commercial and criminal matters spanning the entire range of practice areas. He has also amassed considerable experience in anti-corruption matters.

Simon has also been involved in the drafting of various laws and regulations, received prestigious honours for his pro bono work and has published in notable legal publications.
