Shimantika Mandal is an Indian qualified lawyer and is
a member of the Stephenson Harwood’s international
arbitration team. She has represented high net worth
individuals, state entities, large multinational companies and
banks under several jurisdictions and across a wide range of
She also works as a tribunal secretary in a number of
arbitrations under the rules of major institutions including
LCIA, ICC and UNCITRAL.
Shimantika also assisted in the preparation of the Sixth
Edition of Merkin and Flannery on the Arbitration Act 1996.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked at a law firm in
America while completing her Master's and also undertook
a combination of commercial litigation and international
arbitration work in India whilst qualifying as a lawyer.
She is fluent in English, Hindi and Bengali.
