Richard Hayler

Richard Hayler is a managing director in the economic consulting segment of FTI Consulting and is based in Singapore. Before joining FTI Consulting, he spent eight years in the audit, corporate finance and financial advisory groups of two Big Four accountancy firms. Mr Hayler has been appointed as a valuation and accounting expert on more than 10 occasions and testified multiple times in court and in arbitrations. He has been recognised in three expert lists published by Who’s Who Legal for asset recovery, quantum of damages and forensic accounting, in which he is described as ‘sensational’, ‘highly proactive’ and has ‘excellent judgement’ as well as an ‘unflappable manner’ while producing ‘intricate work’.In 2015, Mr Hayler was appointed to the Singapore International Mediation Centre’s first expert panel for both forensic accountancy and financial services. He is a chartered accountant (ICAEW) and chartered alternative investment analyst (CAIA), and a fellow of the Institute of Directors. He sits on the board of directors of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in Singapore where he holds the office of Honorary Treasurer.
