Ricardo is particularly interested in matters concerning security and privacy in the cloud, data protection regulation, artificial intelligence and machine learning and its legal accountability.

Ricardo has more than five years of experience as an in-house attorney for a multinational technology company, where he covered various jurisdictions throughout the MENA region. In this role he negotiated and advised on major deals concerning licensing and services agreements, covered day-to-day commer-cial matters and worked closely with governments, central banks and other public and commercial entities on their concerns surrounding data protection and privacy.

Ricardo is currently on secondment to a major multinational technology company, providing a full range of transactional and regulatory advice across MEA to this client. In addition, he advises other clients on matters involving emerging technologies and their legal risks and liabilities, multi-jurisdictional privacy and data protection law frameworks, distribution and outsourcing agreements, services and licensing contracts, dispute resolution, trademark and copyright infringement and general transactional work.
