Ramiro Guevara is founding and principal partner of Guevara & Gutierrez SC Servicios Legales incorporated in 1989. Prior toforming the firm he was made a member of the board of directorsof Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos, the BolivianCentral Bank, and the National Stock Exchange Commission.As a result of his achievements, Mr Guevara features prominentlyin many national and international publications as one of theforemost attorneys in Bolivia - the latest publications being LatinChambers and IFLR. This recognition, coupled with his constantand positive participation in the International Bar Association'sactivities, led to his appointment as country representative (Bolivia)by the IBA and the New York State Bar Association. Furthermore,he is a member of the American Bar Association and an arbiter inthe Conciliation and Arbitration Center of the National CommerceChamber of Bolivia.Ramiro obtained his law degree from the Universidad Mayorde San Andrés in La Paz, Bolivia. Additionally, he obtained an MBAat the Université des Sciences Sociales and completed post graduatestudies in International Commerce at the Institut d'EtudesInternationales et de Développement in Toulouse, France. He alsoparticipated in the Seminar on Investment Treaties, InvestmentAgreements and Joint Ventures at the Institut International de Droitdu Développement in Rome, Italy.He has taught at the Universidad Católica Boliviana. He alsogave various lectures and workshops regarding investment bonds,hydrocarbons law and legal security in Bolivia, international arbitrationand finance law.His experience led to his participation in the drafting commissioncharged with drafting of the following Bolivian Laws: CentralBank Law, Conciliation and Arbitration Law, Export EndorsementLaw, Securities Law, Pension Funds Law, and Hydrocarbons Law.
