Rami Chahine is a partner at French dispute resolution boutique Meltem Avocats based in Marseille. Called to the French Bar in 2012, Rami concentrates his practice on international arbitration, business litigation and white-collar crime matters, with a particular emphasis on the Middle East and North Africa. Rami is recognised as a ‘Future Leader’ in international arbitration in Who’s Who Legal. According to this publication, client and peers describe him as an ‘excellent lawyer’ who is ‘knowledgeable, intelligent and highly competent’.

During his career, Rami has been involved in disputes relating to a wide variety of sectors, including the energy, construction, telecommunications, waste management, luxury and hospitality industries. He also has experience in the setting aside and enforcement of arbitral awards in France, especially against sovereign states. Rami obtained his university degrees from Paris II Panthéon-Assas and Versailles universities and is admitted to practise in Marseille. He was also a teaching assistant at the University of Versailles, where he lectured on contract law and private international law.
