Pooja is an associate in Eversheds’ dispute resolution team in Dubai. Prior to joining the team in Dubai, Pooja was an associate in the Eversheds’ UK dispute resolution team. Pooja specialises in financial disputes and investigations, as well as dealing with general commercial and construction disputes and financial crime matters. Before joining Eversheds’ Pooja practised commercial property and criminal litigation. Pooja also has experience in commercial restructuring.Pooja predominantly deals with court litigation, arbitration and mediation on matters of an international nature. Pooja regularly provides strategic advice to clients on which forum to bring a claim and in which jurisdiction. Strategic advice includes considering the most expedient way in which to make recovery through enforcement action.Pooja’s practice has a growing emphasis on fraud-related matters and regulatory compliance. Pooja has experience advising and assisting clients who are being investigated for fraud. Pooja’s experience includes dealing with complex and disputed financial disputes including defending mis-selling claims, bringing recovery actions and professional negligence claims and dealing with allegations of fraud and concealment. Pooja also regularly provides compliance advice to clients on their regulatory requirements. Regulatory advice includes reviewing existing policies, practices, culture and conduct and putting forward risk management recommendations.
