Paul Mitchard is the head of Asia-Pacific and European international arbitration and litigation practices and the co-head of the global practice of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP and affiliates. He is a recognised leader in the field of international dispute resolution. Paul is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, as a solicitor-advocate in England and as a solicitor in the British Virgin Islands. A qualified arbitrator and an accredited Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution mediator, he has 30 years’ experience handling arbitrations under the auspices of all of the major arbitration institutions including HKIAC, ICC, LCIA, SCC, AAA and ICSID, as well as non-administered arbitrations under UNCITRAL rules and cross-border civil litigation. He is a leading member of a number of legal associations and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
