Pablo F Richards

Pablo Richards is a founding partner of Richards, Cardinal, Tützer, Zabala & Zaefferer. He has had an active participation in the privatisation process developed in Argentina assisting foreign investors in national and international bids and start-up businesses, and has acquired wide experience in foreign companies regulations in Argentina, the set-up of joint ventures with domestic companies, shareholders’ agreements, mergers and acquisitions. Mr Richards developed an intense activity in national and international litigation as well as in alternative dispute resolutions through mediation and arbitration, acting as arbitrator and counsel to plaintiffs and defendants, or as expert witness. He has performed his activity under several sets of international rules, such as the ICC, ICSID and UNCITRAL; as well as local ones, such as the rules of Tribunal de Arbitraje de la Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires, the Centro Empresarial de Mediación y Arbitraje and the Bolsa de Cereales de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. He has been a panellist in seminars on commercial arbitration and the protection of foreign investment in Argentina (particularly in investments disputes, before national courts, and local and international arbitration) and is author of articles on foreign investments and bilateral investment treaties. He has also acted as an arbitrator in the Annual Arbitration Competition jointly organised by the University of Buenos Aires and Our Lady of the Rosary University in Bogotá, Colombia.
