Oriol Valentí

Oriol Valentí is a partner at RocaJunyent in Barcelona. He specialises in litigation and international arbitration, with an emphasis on Latin America and Spain. He advises on complex transnational litigation, commercial and contractual disputes, disputes arising from equity purchases and sales, corporate law and liability of directors. He has represented clients under the rules of major arbitral institutions and in ad hoc proceedings. He is an expert in cases involving multiple jurisdictions and procedural rules.

Oriol combines his practice of law with teaching at several universities. In addition to a double degree in law and business management from Pompeu Fabra University, he holds a diploma in legal studies from Oxford University and an LLM from Harvard Law School.

Oriol is admitted to practise in Spain and New York and is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan. He frequently publishes articles on arbitration matters and was a co-chair of the Spanish Arbitration Club -40. He is consistently ranked in the major domestic and international legal directories.
