Nasser is the regional managing partner of the Middle East and specialises in arbitration. Nasser has acted as an arbitrator in various dispute cases under the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) rules and other centres.Nasser has played a key role in bringing a major IBA disputes conference to the region as a co-chair of the Arab Regional Forum of the IBA.Nasser was also appointed as one of the first Arab Domain Name Panellists at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration Centre. Nasser’s experience in arbitration is wide-ranging and includes acting as: a panel member in scores of domain name judgments issued under the UDRP system administrated by WIPO; a co-counsel in a large construction dispute between a major multinational contracting company and a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) government department; lead counsel in a commercial media dispute between two GCC companies that spawned two DIAC arbitrations; a co-arbitrator in Islamic finance disputes under the International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation Arbitration (IICRA) Rules; and an arbitrator in various arbitration cases before the DIAC (the cases covered construction, real estate, and media disputes); counsel in the work concerning a major dispute between a leading multinational in the hotel industry and a GCC franchisee; and a mediator in a major mediation involving high-profile parties in the media sector.In addition to his arbitration and disputes work, Nasser specialises in a number of areas including: copyright, technology and media, commercial, compliance and labour law.His working languages are Arabic, English and French.
