Margarita N Michael is an associate in O’Melveny’s London office specialising in international arbitration. Margarita is a solicitor advocate with full rights of audience before the English courts. She has represented clients in complex international arbitrations under all leading arbitral rules, including the ICC, LCIA and HKIAC, as well as in ad hoc proceedings. Margarita also has experience of acting in investment treaty disputes and in advising on questions of public international law. Margarita’s practice focuses predominantly on the energy, financial services, shipping and technology sectors where she frequently acts as lead associate on mandates. She previously worked on one of Europe’s largest gas price review ICC arbitrations. Margarita is a member of the ICC, LCIA and YIAG, and is proficient in Greek and Spanish. She has written and spoken on international arbitration at various fora, including recently co-authoring a chapter on public international law. Margarita joined O’Melveny in 2011 having qualified into one of the world’s leading international arbitration practices.
