Marcio Vieira Souto Costa Ferreira graduated in law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro and was awarded a Masters in Law by the University of São Paulo in 1998.
Since 1993, he has been professor of civil litigation and arbitration at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, where he also lectures on the postgraduate specialist course in the same area. He has also been a guest lecturer on arbitration on the Masters in Business Law run by the Rio Business School, as well as in other programmes.
Marcio is listed as arbitrator in the most respected arbitration centres in Brazil and, throughout the year, has repeatedly been recognised by internationally acclaimed law magazines for his work in the field of litigation and arbitration.
