Mallory Silberman is an associate at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP, with a practice focused primarily on dispute resolution between multinational corporations and sovereign states. To date, she has represented investors and the governments of 10 sovereign states in more than 20 ICSID and ICSID Additional Facility disputes (arising under bilateral investment treaties, NAFTA or the Energy Charter Treaty). In total, she has appeared as counsel in approximately 30 investor-state arbitrations. She also has represented states in international commercial arbitrations and in US litigation. In addition to her work as counsel, Ms Silberman is an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center, where, since 2012, she has taught a substantive and oral advocacy course on international arbitration. She frequently speaks at industry conferences and is a recurring guest lecturer for an intensive arbitration course held annually at American University Washington College of Law.
