Majken Korsgård Petersen

Majken Korsgård Petersen was educated at theUniversity of Copenhagen and practises as an attorneyat law at Danders & More, where she worksas adviser to a number of national and internationalcompanies and organisations. Majken is also experienced in international and cross-border transactions,with a focus on corporate and commercialrelations in particular. Moreover, Majken has a specialinterest in the aspects of banking and finance, an interestthat is founded in an LLM in Banking and FinanceLaw from Kings College, London. Majken expects tobecome qualified solicitor in England & Wales in thebeginning of 2007.Before practising at Danders & More, Makjenworked in the legal department of the Danish Ministryof Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence,where she handled public law issues and internationalissues, including agreements and conventions. Afterfinishing her LLM, Majken worked with the largelaw firm DentonWildeSapte in London, well-knownwithin the banking and finance business.Majken has thus always spent a great deal of hertime focusing on international aspects and today, concurrentlywith her career at Danders & More, she isacting as military legal adviser to the general of Denmark’slargest military unit aimed at international tasks– Danish Division. Through this, Majken has developedher negotiating and analytical skills and thus alsoher ability to focus on solutions and results. In additionto the above qualities, Majken is also a true fighter, afeature developed through many years as competitiveswimmer.Majken was born on 22 September 1969 in Jutland,where she also grew up. Today she lives with her husbandand their two children north of Copenhagen.Majken speaks Scandinavian and English.
