Lutz heads the Austrian IP team and part of our CE and global IP group. He specialises in intellectual property and tech law, including complex licensing and digital consumer issues. He advises across many industries, focusing on digital transformation, IoT, platform regulation and industry 4.0 issues, in particular in the automotive and the tech sector.
His academic background includes a doctorate focusing on digital copyright and master’s degrees awarded by the University of Vienna and the University of British Columbia. Before joining the firm, Lutz worked for several years of at university and research institutes such as the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for European law. Lutz teaches international copyright law at Vienna University and publishes regularly on various IP issues.
