Luis González García specialises in international dispute settlement. He advises and acts for governments and corporations in international law matters concerning, for example, state responsibility, foreign investment and investment arbitration. He has acted in arbitrations under the NAFTA, PCA, HKIAC, UNCITRAL, and ICSID and its Additional Facility Rules.Before joining Matrix, Luis acted as counsel and lead counsel for Mexico in NAFTA and BIT arbitrations and legal advisor in the negotiation of international trade and investment treaties. He also has worked as a consultant to UNCTAD and the Organization of American States, and has advised several governments in Central America and the Caribbean on international arbitration matters.
