Leticia Goñi is an associate investment manager and legal counsel at Omni Bridgeway and a member of Omni Bridgeway’s Latin America group. She is responsible for conducting due diligence on potential investments and assessing funding opportunities in the region.
Prior to joining Omni Bridgeway, Leticia was a member of the international arbitration practices of Alston & Bird and Hughes Hubbard & Reed in New York. She later continued working in the field of international arbitration from Uruguay as a consultant. During her years as a litigation practitioner, Leticia handled various investor-state arbitrations involving complex disputes in Latin America and other markets.
Leticia earned her LLM from Georgetown Law School with a certificate in international arbitration and dispute resolution and her law degree from Universidad de Montevideo. Prior to her LLM, Leticia worked in the corporate and litigation departments of Uruguay’s largest law firm.
She is the chair of the Uruguayan chapter of the New York Bar Association, International Section, and a member of several arbitration associations. In addition to English, Leticia is a native speaker of Spanish with an intermediate level of Portuguese.
