Laura Sochat is an associate principal in CRA’s energy practice. Ms Sochat is an economist and provides consultancy services to clients in energy industry, in the context of international arbitration, and strategy and regulatory advisory projects. She has acted as project manager on a range of investment treaty and commercial cases, in a range of geographies.
Ms Sochat has extensive experience leading teams gathering and analysing relevant data, and presenting the analytic, commercial and factual evidence for arbitration proceedings. This includes damages estimations, asset valuation, economic and financial modelling, and economic analysis in the context of regulatory issues. In addition to her experience in the energy industry, Ms Sochat also has experience in the competition, telecoms and financial sectors.
