Julien Gontier is a counsel with Gide Loyrette Nouel A.A.R.PI., member of the Paris Bar, specialising in litigation/arbitration, public procurements and infrastructures projects. He worked for the litigation department in Paris and joined the Algiers office in June 2008 where he advises major foreign companies wishing to invest in Algeria.
In the framework of his experience in Algeria, he regularly assists companies on the occasion of the achievement of their infrastructures projects with the conclusion of EPC, O&M or supply contracts (negotiation, drafting of contractual documentation), the performance of these contracts (interpretation of contractual clauses, claims) and for the related litigations (arbitration and local courts).
He also assists foreign and Algerian companies with the conclusion and performance of public procurements and mainly, of public procurements works, regarding the preparation and submission of bids (analyse of call for tenders documentation, questions relating to the applicable regulations, etc) and the performance of the public procurement contracts (interpretation of contractual clauses, claims, litigations).
Julien advises companies in arbitrations, mediation and expert procedures, notably under the aegis of the International Chamber of Commerce, in the context of disputes relating to infrastructure contracts or corporate matters, involving entities Algerian public authorities and international companies.
