Hunter Carter, co-chair of the ArentFox Schiff International Group, is an international arbitration, litigation, investigations and human rights lawyer. He regularly advises clients in foreign and domestic arbitration and has served as an arbitrator appointed by the International Chamber of Commerce. He also leads domestic and international internal investigations, focusing on anti-corruption for multinational corporations, and instructs corporate clients on global compliance. Hunter has for many years running been recognised as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers in Latin America” by Latinvex.

Hunter has for many years served on the New York City Bar’s Council on International Affairs and its Committee for the Vance Centre for International Justice, and previously chaired its Committee on Inter-American Affairs. He also currently serves as a founding board and executive member of Global Americans, an innovative Latin America-focused think tank and teaches at Latin American law schools and conferences on anti-corruption compliance, international arbitration and human rights litigation. He served many years on the NYS Bar Ethics Committee.

Hunter is also a vigorous advocate dedicated to protecting human rights. He is one of the most active lawyers in the hemisphere in cases pursuing marriage equality and has received numerous awards and recognitions for this work.
