Hugo García-Larriva is the head of the Quito’s office. Recognised by Who’s Who Legal and Global Arbitration Review as future leader – partner – in arbitration, focuses on complex litigation, domestic and international arbitration, particularly in construction, commercial and investment matters. He ordinarily sits as an arbitrator in domestic proceedings. In court litigation, he is also known for being a skilful cross-examiner and a persuasive advocate. He focuses his practice in civil, commercial and administrative litigation.
Mr García-Larriva has also developed a great experience in the design and implementation of strategies in regulatory and administrative matters. In the corporate field he is known for providing counsel in corporate governance, business structuring, and high-profile and complex commercial transactions.
Mr García-Larriva is ICC YAF representative for Latin America, executive director of the Ecuadorian Arbitration Institute, and professor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Prior to joining Carmigniani Pérez Abogados worked in the international arbitration department at Dechert LLP, Paris.
