Gabrielle Nater-Bass is a partner in the litigation and arbitration team at Homburger in Zurich. She is a highly experienced party counsel, arbitrator (presiding, sole, party-appointed) and legal expert in international commercial arbitration proceedings, ad hoc and institutional, across a wide range of industries. She also regularly represents clients in investment treaty arbitrations and complex cross-border litigations. Gabrielle Nater-Bass is listed on the panel of arbitrators of the International Chamber of Commerce National Committee (Switzerland), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). She serves as vice president of the London Court of International Arbitration (a member since 2020) and is a board member of both the Swiss Arbitration Centre and the Swiss Arbitration Association. She was president of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution from 2016 to 2020. Moreover, Gabrielle Nater-Bass co-chairs the ICCA-ASIL Task Force on Damages in International Arbitration (formed by the International Council for Commercial Arbitration and the American Society of International Law) and is a member of the SIAC Users’ Council, the Advisory Board of Arbitral Women (former vice president) and the steering committee of the Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge.
Gabrielle Nater-Bass was recognised by Global Arbitration Review as one of its magazine’s ‘all female top 30’ women in arbitration and received the Client Choice Awards 2020 and 2021 in the category Arbitration & ADR (Switzerland). She publishes regularly in the field of international commercial arbitration.
