Eric Bédard serves a sophisticated and diverse client base in civil and commercial litigation as well as in international commercial and investment arbitration. He has argued before the courts of first instance and appeal of Quebec, as well as before federal and provincial administrative tribunals. Mr Bédard has also represented parties before tribunals constituted under Chapter XI of the NAFTA, and served as secretary to investor–state tribunals. Mr Bédard co-authored the national chapter on Canada in Enforcement of Investment Treaty Arbitration Awards – A Global Guide, (ed Julien Fouret, Castaldi Mourre & Partners, Globe Law, 2015).

He is also a frequent speaker on the subject of investments under comprehensive trade agreements and the NAFTA.
