Emily Hay acts as arbitrator, counsel, and tribunal secretary in international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, both ad hoc and under various institutional rules (ICC, LCIA, SCC, ICSID, SIAC, UNCITRAL, CEPANI, DIAC, DIFC-LCIA). She also assists on court litigation related to the set-aside and enforcement of arbitral awards. Ms Hay is qualified in New South Wales, Australia and registered as a foreign lawyer in Brussels, Belgium.

Ms Hay also advises on data protection and privacy matters and regularly writes and speaks on the issue of intersections between data protection law and international arbitration. She is a co-administrator of MetaverseLegal and is actively involved in exploring the legal implications of new technology.

Ms Hay splits her time between Europe and Asia, and is listed on the HKIAC List of Arbitrators, the KCAB INTERNATIONAL Panel of International Arbitrators and the Thailand Arbitration Centre (THAC). She speaks English, French and Spanish.
