Elena Trabaldo-de Mestral is an associate in Schellenberg Wittmer’s International Arbitration Group in Geneva. Her practice focuses on international commercial arbitration and arbitration-related litigation. She has acted as counsel and advised parties in complex commercial disputes as well as in proceedings before the Swiss Supreme Court related to challenges of arbitral awards.Having spent the last year of her studies at the University of Panthéon-Assas in Paris, where she acquired solid knowledge of French law and EU law, Elena graduated from the University of Geneva School of Law in 2010 with a master’s degree in business law. She then went on to complete an internship at the Swiss Supreme Court in Lausanne. In 2011, she obtained a certificate of advanced studies in legal professions.Elena first joined Schellenberg Wittmer as a trainee in 2010 and again as an associate in 2013 after her admission to the Swiss bar (having ranked first in her class). She is a member of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), ASA below 40 and the Geneva Bar Association.
