Edward W Fashole-Luke II is the managing partner of Luke and Associates and one of the leading lawyers in Botswana, with a wealth of local and international experience. He is listed in Who’s Who Legal: South Africa, and Who’s Who Legal: Washington, DC. He has spoken at several international conferences on international arbitration, including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Kenya branch in Mombasa Kenya in August 2014; and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association Conference in Glasgow Scotland in April 2015.Mr Luke has trained in: ICC arbitration; international arbitration; international commercial arbitration; fedics; alternative dispute resolution; international investment treaty arbitration; bilateral investment treaty arbitration between state and investor; and dispute adjudication and arbitration. He has received further special training in international arbitration at Allen & Overy, Herbert Smith Freehills, Shearman & Sterling, Steptoe & Johnson, White & Case and Mayer Brown. Mr Luke’s practised at the chambers of Sir Simon Tuckey QC in London (1987); was barrister at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in California (1987–1989); and is an attorney-at-law in Botswana since 1989.
