Eduardo Zuleta leads Gómez-Pinzón Zuleta Abogados SA’s practice in international law, including international investment protection law. He was appointed by the president of the World Bank as member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and is a member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). In addition, Mr Zuleta has acted as counsel, chair, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in multiple arbitrations under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the Inter-American Commercial Arbitration Commission (CIAC) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). He has also taken part in investment arbitrations under the ICSID and UNCITRAL rules. Furthermore, Mr Zuleta is a member of the panel of arbitrators of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), the Centre of Arbitration of British Columbia, as well as the Conciliation and Arbitration Centre of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá.He graduated from the Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá) and holds an LLM from the University of London (Queen Mary). In addition, he obtained a specialisation degree in dispute resolution (international arbitration and investment protection law) from the latter university. Mr Zuleta currently sits as senior vice chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee, and as member of the ICC Latin American Group. He was also appointed by the Colombian Government as a member of the Expert Committee in charge of drafting the new National and International Arbitration Statute (enacted through Law 1563/12).
