Diego Muñoz-Tamayo

Diego Muñoz-Tamayo is the founding partner at Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados, an international law firm in Bogotá, Colombia. He stands out for his multicultural savvy and his capacity to bridge complex transactions. He is widely recognised for his broad knowledge and expertise across corporate and financial law, his creative approach to M&A transactions, his know-how in tackling intricate corporate restructurings and project finance transactions, as well as his extensive experience in privatisations. Diego is widely recognised for his exceptional talent in putting together complex deals, and his acumen when advising clients on strategic business negotiation. His practice has focused on corporate transnational law, M&A, financial law and arbitration, where he has acted as arbitrator in several national and international cases. He has participated in landmark transactions and cases in the infrastructure, financial insurance, industrial and health sectors, among others.

Diego is a lawyer from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, with an LLM in international financial law from the London School of Economics and an MSc in public policy from Saint Anthony’s College at Oxford University.
