David specialises in the resolution of complex construction and engineering disputes, in particular in the infrastructure and energy sectors. He has in-depth experience of major standard form construction contracts, including the FIDIC suite, and the key forms of dispute resolution in the construction sector, including adjudication, dispute boards, arbitration and litigation. David has represented clients in numerous arbitration proceedings arising out of EPC and turnkey contracts, including claims for extensions of time and additional cost, and claims arising from alleged defective plant performance and contested terminations. He also advises on the management of claims, in particular the establishment of robust processes for processing and resolving claims without the need for formal dispute resolution proceedings. David has performed this role on a number of substantial projects, often in conjunction with the client’s consultants and advisers.
